A cobot machine tending cell keeps the spindle cutting while the operator handles the work that actually needs judgment. The three builds below are modular and share the same robot: pick the base according to how often you change parts and how controlled the environment needs to be.

Open drawer index

A cell with sliding drawers: the operator refills one drawer while the robot works the next, so loading never stops. It is the most direct build when the part does not change often and volume rules.

Configuration

Base: Vention machine tending base with an open drawer index system, for quick changeovers and continuous loading.
Robot: Fairino FR10, FR16 or FR30 cobot to match payload and reach.
Gripper: Vacuum gripper for flat or delicate parts.
Upgrades: Tower light, safety area scanner, CNC door actuator and clean cable management.
Deployment: Scoping, cell design, programming and onsite commissioning.

Best for: Continuous production with a stable part and high volume.

Peg index

Same modular base, now with locating pegs: the part always lands in the same position, so the robot repeats the pick without vision. It takes little floor space and a model change is a matter of swapping the plate.

Base: Vention machine tending base with a peg index system, for precise, repeatable part location in a compact footprint.
Robot: Fairino FR10, FR16 or FR30 cobot to match payload and reach.
Gripper: DH Robotics two- or three-finger gripper, or vacuum for flat or delicate parts.

Best for: Low-volume, high-precision work with frequent changeovers.

Enclosed cabinet

The same robot inside a cabinet with interlocked doors: it contains chips and coolant, closes off access while the cell runs and keeps the floor tidy. This is the build for cells that run full shifts.

Base: Enclosed cabinet with interlocked doors, chip management and controlled airflow, with quick service access.
Robot: Fairino FR10, FR16 or FR30 cobot to match payload and reach.
Gripper: DH Robotics two- or three-finger gripper, or vacuum for flat or delicate parts.
Upgrades: Tower light, vision and barcode reading, part trays, CNC door actuator, integrated cable and air routing, optional MES link.
